Ross Slater

Ross Slater, Principal

Ross is co-founder and principal of Highspot. He leads the areas of sales, marketing and client relations for the company.

Ross is an accomplished facilitator, speaker, and coach. Prior to co-founding Highspot, he worked with several management consulting and coaching companies. He holds an honors degree in economics from Glendon College, York University.

An Associate Coach with The Strategic Coach®, he travels internationally to present and coach workshops for entrepreneurs and their teams. Ross is also the founder and owner of Metris Group, a consulting company whose subsidiaries and affiliates focus on personal development and professional success.

Known for his contagious energy and his strong interest in personal and professional development, both for himself and others, Ross and his life partner make their home in Toronto. He loves to travel, read, and engage in political and philosophical discussions.

Jennifer Tribe

Jennifer Tribe, Principal

Jennifer is co-founder and principal of Highspot. She leads the project managers and production teams in the creation of client products.

Jennifer holds a degree in journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and has worked extensively as a writer, editor and consultant. Prior to Highspot, she owned and managed a marketing and corporate communications consultancy. Her articles have been published in dozens of leading print and online publications.

In 2001, Jennifer cycled across the country, traveling 7,300 kilometres from Vancouver, BC to St. John's, NL. Having been bitten by the adventure bug, Jennifer's future goals include climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Carissa Stewart

Carissa Stewart, Project Manager

Carissa serves as a crucial link between production teams and clients, ensuring that everything gets done on time, on budget and to everyone’s satisfaction.

Carissa attended York University’s Fine Arts program as a theatre major, before realizing her calling was in business communications. She graduated at the top of her class from Centennial College’s advertising program and earned a position at DDB Canada, where she worked as an Account Supervisor. Her breadth of service experience spans clients such as the Canadian Tourism Commission, Imperial Oil, Philips and a number of traditional packaged goods clients including Clorox and Motts.

In her seven years at DDB, Carissa also had the opportunity to stretch her entrepreneurial wings. She has experience copywriting, developing new business plans, contributing to the not-for-profit sector and even voicing the occasional commercial.

Carissa and her husband reside north of Toronto with their two children. She is active in the community and one day plans to return to the stage.

Rod Schulhauser

Rod Schulhauser, Project Manager

Rod has over 13 years experience in professional engineering project management and an additional 11 years of project management in the media and publishing industry. Rod holds a degree in Engineering from McMaster University and spent the first part of his career in senior management for a large international engineering firm. After his work in the corporate environment, Rod moved into his current business of building internet marketing teams, business systems development, and multimedia/publishing.

Rod enjoys working on his current endeavours alongside his wife Debbie. Rod and Debbie have three children and live in Burlington, Ontario.

Karma Brown

Karma Brown, Idea Consultant

Karma is responsible for guiding Highspot clients through the discovery process for Your Ideal Future. Her client experience and inquisitive nature make her a natural facilitator for personal and in-depth conversations. She also has experience as a copywriter and editor, with a focus on online and social media initiatives.

After completing an undergraduate degree at The University of Western Ontario, Karma joined Strategic Coach in 1995. Focusing on client service, she worked exclusively with entrepreneurs and learned about the unique challenges facing entrepreneurial companies. Following a post-grad journalism degree at Ryerson University, Karma worked as the Director of Marketing at Strategic Coach for three years.

Karma lives in Toronto with her husband and daughter, and is working on her first novel.
